UK families wanted!

Our trainees from Europe need a home from home

Imagine you’re in a foreign city – alone and embarking on the first step of a new career. What would you value most?

For most of our European trainees, the answer is a stable home life – a friendly base for the duration of their work placement in the UK.

That’s why we always place trainees with supportive, caring families – people who can offer friendship as well as accommodation. For a period of 5-13 weeks, you’ll be their surrogate family.

It’s a great way to meet a wide mix of people without trekking all over Europe!

Watch this video to see a typical example of hosting:

Who are we looking for?
You don’t have to be a ‘nuclear’ family of mum, dad and 2.4 children – our hosts include single people, older people and young couples without children.

For all their diversity though, our host families do have a few things in common: they all have a spare room, they love meeting new people and they’re always happy to help and advise as their new guest settles in.

Does that sound like you?
We hope so! We’re always looking for new UK families to join our growing network. Whether you host a trainee once or welcome a new person every few months, we’re sure you’ll value the experience – just like our regular hosts:

“The young men and women we have hosted have brought youth and enthusiasm into our home. Each visitor has his or her own interesting and distinctive European culture and personality... we have gained at least as much from our guests as we hope they have gained from us... we are making friends all over the world”
Mr and Mrs Granville
