Welcome to Vienna

Vienna is the political and cultural capital of Austria – a haven for lovers of theatre, music, art and cinema. Thanks to an enviable list of composers, the city has an outstanding musical heritage. And as you’d expect, there’s a lively scene for musicians, artists and young people.

As you’ll soon discover, Vienna is a traditional melting pot: home to immigrants from Hungary, Poland the Czech Republic. This mix of civilisations can be seen everywhere you go – it’s just like visiting half a dozen cities all at once!

Meet Your Host Organisation
The Amadeus Association is a non-profit organisation, set up to motivate young people for a new professional challenge.

Every year, they run trans-national vocational training programmes for over 700 international students. This is supported by a network of 300 national and international bodies, including contacts in most professional service and industry sectors.

So – what can you expect during your placement in Vienna?
