“The many trainees supplied by ETS to the Staffordshire Regiment Museum have been of a uniformly excellent standard. They have never provided anyone who is not extremely helpful, pleasant to work with, and motivated by a genuine interest in the heritage industry. Some of them have been highly qualified in relevant subject areas and all have shown skills that have made them very useful to the work of this small museum.

The extended periods of between 2 and 3 months that the placements have lasted have meant that serious projects have been successfully tackled and large amounts of work achieved. I have to be careful not to take the yearly input of these placements for granted as the performance of the Museum as a whole would noticeably suffer if ETS ceased to provide them.

Amaude spent several weeks with us during which he got to know everybody in the office on a professional and social basis.

He was asked to undertake several tasks, which he accomplished with varying degrees of success. He conducted an interview with Manchester City's French footballer, Laurent Charvet which was published in our Sunday Pink sports pages. He also interviewed French footballers from Stockport County.

While Amaude's command of English was excellent it was however, often difficult for him to transfer this to a written article. Having said that journalists on the Sports Desk were more than happy to help him along.
